We are looking for an experienced online manager to produce and take responsibility for the company’s online revenue strategy. 

The role will cover the following:

Revenues
* Drive revenues on the website, using display, affiliate, content syndication, sponsorship and property search revenues.
* Look for new opportunities to sell content, create subscription areas on the website and drive web sales.
* Work to build on existing commercial partnerships and seek to create new ones.
* Work with advertising teams to educate both internally and externally on the potential of online and its best practices
* Produce online presentation and media pack for use by the company’s advertising teams
* Look for opportunities for joint ventures, partnerships and affiliates and follow through
* Hold regular meetings with Group Advertising Manager so that a clear line of communication is established and that the company’s goals are met.
* Monitor competitor websites to cover all campaigns on their sites


Content
* Ensure that the website(s) content is continually updated and that new areas are introduced as appropriate.
* Work with the online and senior editors to ensure that the content used on the website is relevant and appropriate
* Ensure that the Online Editor is aware of the site traffic figures and is monitoring the popularity of the sections and pages on the site.
* Ensure that site submission to the major search engines is undertaken regularly
* Ensure that the Online Editor is monitoring competitive websites and publications

Traffic
* Ensure that the online team are producing statistical analysis of visitor traffic so that the performance of the sites can be adequately monitored.
* Monitor search engine rankings and ensure that the websites under your control are optimised to get to the top of natural search rankings.
* Use competitor analysis to benchmark websites against

Marketing
* Work with the online editorial team to produce press releases into trade publications and relevant websites
* Use your expertise to produce cost effective ways of increasing site traffic and visitor numbers.
* Liaise with senior editors and magazine teams to get the website promoted in all magazines.
* Investigate co operative marketing opportunities with partners and their websites.
